About American Patchwork Quartet
American Patchwork Quartet is an American ensemble founded by guitarist and arranger Clay Ross. Falu Shah sings, Ross plays guitar and sings, Yasushi Nakamura plays bass, and Clarence Penn plays drums. The quartet recasts traditional folk songs through Americana, jazz and Hindustani classical music. Its self-titled, 14-track debut album arrived in 2024 and was nominated for Best Folk Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
On June 18, 2024, the group made its debut at the Grand Ole Opry.
