About Andrew Marlin
Andrew Marlin is an American mandolinist, guitarist and songwriter who formed the progressive bluegrass and folk duo Mandolin Orange with Emily Frantz in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, in 2009. The pair later adopted the name Watchhouse, while his instrumental work under his own name includes the albums The Witching Hour and Fable & Fire.
At Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, Mandolin Orange recorded the concert released as Live at the Ryman in 2019. For performances under his own name, Andrew Marlin has led an acoustic string band featuring musicians such as fiddler Christian Sedelmyer, banjoist Allison de Groot and bassist Clint Mullican.
