AURORA in Munich

AURORA is the stage name of Norwegian singer-songwriter Aurora Aksnes, who was born in Stavanger in 1996. She writes art pop shaped by electronic textures and folk melodies, and is known for songs including “Runaway,” “Running with the Wolves” and “Cure for Me.” Her albums include All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend, Infections of a Different Kind and The Gods We Can Touch. At the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo, AURORA performed “Half the World Away,” her cover of the Oasis song recorded for a John Lewis Christmas campaign. She appeared at Glastonbury Festival in 2016 while touring her debut album, then mounted the Infections of a Different Kind Tour. In 2022, she began another headline run under the name The Gods We Can Touch Tour.
