About Belly
Belly is an American alternative rock band formed in Boston in 1991 by singer and guitarist Tanya Donelly. Its guitar-led dream pop and jangle rock are represented by the debut album Star and songs including “Feed the Tree” and “Gepetto”; the group later released King and, after reuniting, Dove.
Belly joined the 1993 Lollapalooza tour during the Star album cycle, then toured behind King before going on hiatus. The band reunited for concerts in 2016 and returned to the road after releasing Dove in 2018. The 2016 reunion included performances in London.
