About Garbage
Garbage are a Scottish-American alternative rock band formed in Madison, Wisconsin, in 1993 by Shirley Manson, Duke Erikson, Steve Marker and Butch Vig. Their guitar-driven rock incorporates electronic production and dance rhythms, heard on the albums Garbage and Version 2.0 and in songs including “Only Happy When It Rains,” “Stupid Girl,” “Push It” and “I Think I’m Paranoid.”
The band began touring internationally behind its debut album in 1995, then played a longer world tour around Version 2.0. Garbage revisited the debut record on the 20 Years Queer tour in 2015 and co-headlined the Rage and Rapture Tour with Blondie in 2017. In 2021, the band joined the anniversary tour for Jagged Little Pill as support for Alanis Morissette.
