About Black Alien
Black Alien is a Brazilian rapper born in São Gonçalo in 1972. He first became known through the duo SpeedFreaks and his work with Planet Hemp, then established his solo catalogue with Babylon by Gus, Vol. 1: O Ano do Macaco. His later albums include Babylon by Gus, Vol. 2: No Princípio Era o Verbo and Abaixo de Zero: Hello Hell, records built on boom-bap hip-hop, reggae and ragga.
After releasing Abaixo de Zero: Hello Hell in 2019, he toured a show centered on the album. He later revisited O Ano do Macaco in full for its 20th-anniversary concerts, bringing that program to Circo Voador in Rio de Janeiro.
