About Sunny Day Real Estate
Sunny Day Real Estate is an American emo and alternative rock band formed in Seattle in 1992. Their 1994 debut album, Diary, helped establish the sound of 1990s emo through songs including “Seven” and “In Circles”; later releases include LP2, How It Feels to Be Something On and The Rising Tide.
The 2009 reunion tour put the original lineup back on the road, supported by The Jealous Sound. Another reunion led to North American touring in 2022, followed by the Diary 30th Anniversary Tour in 2024, on which the band performed the album in full.
Beyond their Seattle base, Sunny Day Real Estate performed at Coachella in Indio and crossed the Atlantic for Primavera Sound in Barcelona.
