About Brix Smith

Brix Smith is an American singer, guitarist and songwriter best known for her work with the Fall. She contributed vocals and guitar to albums including The Wonderful and Frightening World of The Fall, This Nation’s Saving Grace and Bend Sinister, and later led The Adult Net and Brix & The Extricated. Her solo album Valley of the Dolls followed in 2023.

Brix Smith toured internationally during her two periods in the Fall, first in the 1980s and again after rejoining the group in the 1990s. She returned to UK clubs and festivals during the 2010s as the singer and guitarist of Brix & The Extricated, including an appearance at Rebellion Festival in Blackpool. In 2022, she performed solo material with a full band while opening a UK tour for Public Image Ltd.
