Canadian Brass Tickets & 2026–2027 Tour Dates

Canadian Brass is a Canadian brass quintet founded in Toronto in 1970 by tuba player Chuck Daellenbach and trombonist Gene Watts. Built around two trumpets, horn, trombone and tuba, the ensemble performs classical repertoire, jazz, pop arrangements and Christmas music. Its discography includes Bach: The Art of Fugue, Canadian Brass Plays the Beatles and A Canadian Brass Christmas.

In 1977, Canadian Brass toured China, becoming the first Western chamber ensemble to visit the country after the Cultural Revolution. The concert format centers on five musicians, while formal black clothes and white athletic shoes became a longstanding stage tradition. The quintet later played concert halls including Carnegie Hall in New York and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
