About Chaif
Chaif is a Russian rock band formed in Sverdlovsk, now Yekaterinburg, in 1985 by singer and guitarist Vladimir Shakhrin and guitarist Vladimir Begunov. Its repertoire draws on rock and roll, blues, reggae and folk, and includes the songs “Nikto ne uslyshit (Oi-yo),” “17 let” and “Argentina–Jamaica 5:0,” as well as the album “Oranzhevoye nastroyeniye.”
In 2005 and 2010, Chaif celebrated its 20th and 25th anniversaries with concerts at Moscow’s Olimpiyskiy Sports Complex. The band has also performed repeatedly at the Nashestvie festival.
