About Clown Core
Clown Core is an anonymous American experimental duo that plays grindcore, free jazz and electronic music in abrupt, tightly packed compositions. The project is known for the albums Toilet, Van and 1234, as well as absurdist videos for tracks including “Hell” and “Computers,” filmed in confined spaces while both performers wear clown masks.
In 2023, Clown Core took the project on its first concert tour. The two masked musicians performed on drums, saxophone and keyboards, adapting the compact setup seen in their videos for club and theatre stages; the duo later appeared at Coachella in 2024.
