Coals are a Polish duo formed in 2014 by Katarzyna Kowalczyk and Łukasz Rozmysłowski. Their music draws on dream pop, electronic pop and hip-hop production; the albums Tamagotchi, docusoap and Sanatorium are central to their catalogue. In 2015, Coals became the first Polish act to record a session at KEXP in Seattle. Their festival appearances in Poland have included OFF Festival and Open’er Festival. They have taken their live set abroad to Iceland Airwaves in Reykjavík and Primavera Sound in Barcelona.
