About Crime & the City Solution
Crime & the City Solution are an Australian post-punk band formed in 1977 and led by singer-songwriter Simon Bonney. Their dark, narrative rock is associated with the albums Room of Lights, Shine and Paradise Discotheque; former members have included Mick Harvey, Rowland S. Howard and Epic Soundtracks.
In 1987, the band performed “Six Bells Chime” in Wim Wenders’s film Wings of Desire, which captured the Berlin-era lineup in concert. The group reunited in 2012 and returned to club and theatre stages for concerts supporting the album American Twilight.
