About Desert Dwellers
Desert Dwellers are an American electronic duo formed in 1999 by Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe. Their downtempo and psybient music draws on dub, psychedelic electronics and global instrumentation; key releases include the DownTemple Dub series, The Great Mystery and Breath.
In 2019, the duo toured North America behind Breath, extending a live history that includes performances at Burning Man, Lightning in a Bottle and Shambhala Music Festival. Their sets present the project’s studio material in a continuous electronic mix shaped for dance floors and outdoor gatherings.
Most of their performances have taken place in the United States, while Envision Festival has also brought Desert Dwellers to Costa Rica.
