About Edvin Marton
Edvin Marton is a Hungarian violinist and composer, born in 1974 in the Transcarpathian region of present-day Ukraine. He plays classical crossover built around acoustic and electric violin, and is known for albums including Strings ’N’ Beats and Virtuoso, as well as his part in Dima Bilan’s performance of “Believe.”
At the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade, Marton played violin during the winning performance of “Believe,” accompanied onstage by figure skater Evgeni Plushenko. Their collaboration also became part of the Kings on Ice productions, pairing Marton’s violin performance with the skating of Plushenko.
