Emil Brandqvist Trio in Darmstadt

Emil Brandqvist Trio is a Swedish contemporary-jazz group led by Gothenburg drummer and composer Emil Brandqvist, with pianist Tuomas A. Turunen and bassist Max Thornberg. The trio plays lyrical instrumental jazz and is known for albums including Seascapes, Falling Crystals, Within a Dream and Entering the Woods. The group has performed at JazzBaltica and toured its album repertoire through European jazz clubs and concert halls. Its concerts retain the core piano, double bass and drums lineup of Brandqvist, Turunen and Thornberg.
