Employed To Serve & CABAL in Newcastle upon Tyne

Employed To Serve are an English metal and hardcore band formed in Woking by vocalist Justine Jones and guitarist Sammy Urwin. Their catalogue includes the albums Greyer Than You Remember, The Warmth of a Dying Sun, Eternal Forward Motion and Conquering, built around abrasive riffs, breakdowns and abrupt rhythmic shifts. In 2017, the band performed on the Earache Records stage in Glastonbury Festival’s Shangri-La area. They later joined Gojira and Alien Weaponry for European arena dates on the Fortitude tour.

CABAL are a Danish deathcore band formed in Copenhagen in 2015 by guitarist and producer Chris Kreutzfeldt. They play death metal and hardcore shaped by electronic, atmospheric and black-metal elements. After the Purge EP, the band released Mark of Rot, Drag Me Down, Magno Interitus and Everything Rots. Their recordings have featured CJ McMahon of Thy Art Is Murder, Jamie Hails of Polaris and Matt Heafy of Trivium. CABAL use dark staging at their concerts, speak little to the audience and keep the focus on the music, according to vocalist Andreas Bjulver.
