Foster The People are an American indie-pop band formed in Los Angeles in 2009 by singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mark Foster. Their debut album, Torches, introduced “Pumped Up Kicks,” “Helena Beat” and “Houdini”; later releases include Supermodel, Sacred Hearts Club and the single “Sit Next to Me.” On the Torches Tour, Foster The People performed at Coachella in 2012 as the album reached a wide concert audience. The band later mounted the Supermodel Tour and Sacred Hearts Club Tour, then marked the debut album’s tenth anniversary in 2021 by performing it in full across three shows at The Wiltern.
The Beaches are a Canadian indie-rock band formed in Toronto in 2013. The group’s guitar-led catalogue includes the albums Late Show and Blame My Ex, as well as the songs “T-Shirt” and “Blame Brett.” In 2019, The Beaches opened for the Rolling Stones at Burl’s Creek Event Grounds in Ontario. Following the release of Blame My Ex, they mounted the Blame My Ex Tour, playing headline dates across North America, Europe and Australia. The Beaches perform as a four-piece band: Jordan Miller sings and plays bass, Kylie Miller and Leandra Earl play guitar and keyboards, and Eliza Enman-McDaniel plays drums.
