About God Is An Astronaut
God Is An Astronaut are an Irish instrumental rock band formed in County Wicklow in 2002 by twin brothers Torsten and Niels Kinsella. Their atmospheric post-rock is closely associated with the albums The End of the Beginning and All Is Violent, All Is Bright, including the tracks “Forever Lost” and “All Is Violent, All Is Bright.”
The band played its first concert at Róisín Dubh in Galway in 2005 and subsequently built an extensive European touring history around releases including Epitaph and Ghost Tapes #10. A 20th-anniversary tour revisited material from across their catalogue, while their 2023 performance at Belgium’s Dunk!festival was later issued as Live at Dunk!Fest 2023.
