About sleepmakeswaves
sleepmakeswaves are an Australian instrumental post-rock band formed in 2006. They are known for layered guitars, electronic textures and largely wordless compositions on albums including ...and so we destroyed everything, Love of Cartography and Made of Breath Only.
Following the release of Love of Cartography in 2014, sleepmakeswaves played headline tours in Australia and toured Europe and North America. Made of Breath Only prompted further touring in 2017, and in 2022 the band marked ten years of ...and so we destroyed everything by performing the album in full on an Australian anniversary tour.
The band travelled well beyond its Sydney base to play England’s ArcTanGent and Belgium’s Dunk! Festival.
