Artists
Guster is an American alternative-rock band formed at Tufts University in 1991. Their guitar-led pop and prominent hand percussion became familiar through albums including Lost and Gone Forever, Keep It Together and Ganging Up on the Sun, as well as songs such as “Satellite,” “Amsterdam” and “Barrel of a Gun.” The concert film Guster on Ice documented them at the State Theatre in Portland, Maine, and captured the percussion-heavy full-band format central to their touring. In 2019, they marked two decades of Lost and Gone Forever by performing the album in full on an anniversary tour. They later created the recurring On the Ocean event around their own performances and invited artists.
Atlanta Symphony Orchestra is an American ensemble founded in 1945 and based in Atlanta. It performs symphonic and choral classical music and is especially known for recordings made under music director Robert Shaw, including Berlioz’s Requiem and Britten’s War Requiem with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus. Atlanta Symphony Hall has served as the orchestra’s principal home since 1968. The ensemble made its Carnegie Hall debut in 1971 under Robert Shaw and undertook its first European tour in 1988.
