About Hatis Noit
Hatis Noit is a Japanese vocalist and composer from Shiretoko, Hokkaido, whose experimental work is built around layered voice and electronic processing. She is known for the EP Illogical Dance, the album Aura, and pieces including “Inori” and “Angelus Novus.”
David Lynch invited her to perform in his 2019 Manchester International Festival programme. Her solo concerts use live vocal looping to assemble harmonies, chants and extended vocal sounds in real time. She has presented that format at Rewire in The Hague and Le Guess Who? in Utrecht.
