About Hot Snakes
Hot Snakes are an American post-hardcore and punk rock band formed in San Diego in 1999 by John Reis and Rick Froberg, former bandmates in Drive Like Jehu. Their catalogue includes the albums Automatic Midnight, Suicide Invoice, Audit in Progress and Jericho Sirens, as well as songs such as “I Hate the Kids,” “Braintrust” and “This Mystic Decade.”
Hot Snakes closed their original run with a farewell show at the Casbah in 2005, following an Australian tour. They reunited in 2011, playing Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin before performing at the Battles-curated ATP Nightmare Before Christmas in Minehead.
