About Human Impact
Human Impact is an American noise-rock and industrial-rock band formed in New York City by vocalist and guitarist Chris Spencer of Unsane, keyboardist Jim Coleman of Cop Shoot Cop, and Swans rhythm-section members Chris Pravdica and Phil Puleo. The group introduced its abrasive, electronics-laced sound on the 2020 album Human Impact, including “November” and “E605,” and followed it with Gone Dark.
Human Impact played Saint Vitus Bar in Brooklyn in 2020, just as pandemic restrictions interrupted plans to tour the debut album. The band reached European stages in 2022, including Roadburn Festival in Tilburg.
