About Metz
METZ is a Canadian noise-rock trio formed in Ottawa and based in Toronto. The group is known for its self-titled 2012 debut, the albums II and Strange Peace, and songs including “Headache” and “Acetate.”
The trio played Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago in 2013 while touring behind its debut. METZ performs as Alex Edkins on guitar and vocals, Chris Slorach on bass and Hayden Menzies on drums. The band later documented this three-piece format on the 2021 concert film and album Live at the Opera House.
