Iggy Pop is an American rock singer, born James Newell Osterberg Jr. in Muskegon, Michigan, in 1947. He first became known as the frontman of the Stooges, whose raw garage rock shaped songs including “I Wanna Be Your Dog” and “Search and Destroy,” before establishing a solo catalogue led by the albums The Idiot and Lust for Life and the songs “The Passenger” and “Real Wild Child (Wild One).”

Iggy Pop appeared with the Stooges at the Cincinnati Pop Festival in 1970, an early televised record of the group’s confrontational performances. He reunited with the band at Coachella in 2003, and the restored lineup later played Glastonbury Festival in 2007. In 2016, he toured Post Pop Depression with a band led by Josh Homme and performed at the Royal Albert Hall.

His solo concerts have also reached the Olympia in Paris, while his festival appearances have included Roskilde Festival in Denmark.
