Jonas Fjeld is a Norwegian singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in 1952, whose music draws on folk, country rock and pop. He first recorded with Jonas Fjeld Band and is known for songs including “The Bells Are Ringing for You” and “Engler i sneen.” His catalogue also includes the trio Danko/Fjeld/Andersen, formed with Rick Danko and Eric Andersen. The concert project To rustne herrer paired him with Ole Paus for a series of Norwegian theatre tours. His later partnership with the American bluegrass band Chatham County Line produced the albums Brother of Song and Western Harmonies, followed by joint concerts in Norway with Chatham County Line.
