Artist
Jonathan Tetelman is a Chilean-American tenor, born in Castro and raised in New Jersey, whose repertoire centers on Italian and French opera. He is known for roles including Rodolfo in La bohème, Cavaradossi in Tosca, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly and Don José in Carmen, and for his Deutsche Grammophon albums Arias and The Great Puccini. In 2022, he made his Royal Opera House debut as Rodolfo, followed in 2024 by his Metropolitan Opera debut as Ruggero in La rondine. These engagements established his presence at two major opera houses in principal tenor roles. At the 2023 Salzburg Festival, he sang Macduff in Verdi’s Macbeth; that same year, the Baden-Baden Easter Festival presented him as Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly.
