Kaki King is an American guitarist and composer, born in Atlanta in 1979. She is known for percussive fingerstyle playing, two-handed tapping and the use of the guitar body as a rhythmic instrument. Her largely instrumental catalogue includes the albums Everybody Loves You, Legs to Make Us Longer and Dreaming of Revenge.

After moving to New York, she played acoustic guitar in subway stations before performing in clubs and theatres as a solo guitarist and with a band. In 2014 she premiered the multimedia work The Neck Is a Bridge to the Body at Brooklyn’s BRIC House, using projection mapping on the face of a white guitar as part of the performance.
