Kristin Chenoweth & Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in Atlanta

Kristin Chenoweth is an American actress and singer, born in 1968 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She originated the role of Glinda in Broadway’s Wicked, where “Popular” became one of her signature numbers, and won a Tony Award for playing Sally in the revival of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Her solo recordings range across show tunes, standards, country-pop and holiday music, including A Lovely Way to Spend Christmas and For the Girls. She made her solo concert debut at Carnegie Hall in 2004, then gave a solo concert at the Metropolitan Opera House in 2007. In 2016, My Love Letter to Broadway brought her to the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre for a limited engagement. Three years later, she presented a concert series built around For the Girls at the Nederlander Theatre.

Atlanta Symphony Orchestra is an American ensemble founded in 1945 and based in Atlanta. It performs symphonic and choral classical music and is especially known for recordings made under music director Robert Shaw, including Berlioz’s Requiem and Britten’s War Requiem with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus. Atlanta Symphony Hall has served as the orchestra’s principal home since 1968. The ensemble made its Carnegie Hall debut in 1971 under Robert Shaw and undertook its first European tour in 1988.
