About Le Trio Joubran
Le Trio Joubran is a Palestinian ensemble of brothers Samir, Wissam and Adnan Joubran, all oud players from Nazareth. Their music places three ouds in close dialogue and draws on Arabic classical traditions; their best-known albums include Randana, Majâz, AsFâr and The Long March.
Their 2011 NPR Tiny Desk Concert documented the trio’s interlocking instrumental format for an international audience. During the touring cycle for The Long March, they performed at London’s Barbican in 2019, building the concert around the three brothers’ ouds and the percussion of longtime collaborator Youssef Hbeisch.
