About Letzte Instanz
Letzte Instanz is a German rock band formed in Dresden in 1996. Its music draws on folk rock, gothic metal and medieval instrumentation, with violin and cello central to the sound. The band is known for albums including Das Spiel, Götter auf Abruf and Wir sind Gold.
Letzte Instanz played Wacken Open Air in 2010. A later anniversary concert at Alter Schlachthof was released as 15 Jahre Brachialromantik. The group performs as a full rock band with violin and cello, an arrangement it has also presented at Wave-Gotik-Treffen and M’era Luna.
