LUNA SEA in Fukuoka

LUNA SEA is a Japanese rock band whose formation dates to Kanagawa in 1986; it adopted its present name in 1989. The group plays alternative and progressive rock and is closely associated with visual kei. Its established lineup comprises vocalist Ryuichi, guitarists Sugizo and Inoran, bassist J and drummer Shinya. Key releases include the albums Mother and Style and the songs “Rosier,” “True Blue” and “I for You.” The band debuted at Tokyo Dome with Lunatic Tokyo in 1995, returned there for The Final Act in 2000 and reunited at the same venue for God Bless You: One Night Dejavu in 2007. World Tour Reboot took them to the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles in 2010 before concluding with two more concerts at the dome. Their arena concerts in Japan have also included performances at Nippon Budokan and Saitama Super Arena.
