Artists
Marialy Pacheco is a Cuban pianist and composer, born in Havana in 1983, whose music is rooted in Afro-Cuban and Latin jazz. Her recordings include the albums Introducing, Danzón Cubano and Duets, combining original compositions with Cuban rhythmic traditions and jazz improvisation. In 2012, she won the Solo Piano Competition at the Montreux Jazz Festival. She has since performed solo recitals and trio concerts, including appearances at Ronnie Scott’s in London.
Max Mutzke is a German singer-songwriter, born in 1981, whose music draws on soul, pop and jazz. He became widely known in 2004 through “Can’t Wait Until Tonight,” Germany’s entry at the Eurovision Song Contest, and followed it with the album “Max Mutzke.” In 2004, he performed “Can’t Wait Until Tonight” at the Eurovision Song Contest in Istanbul. He later played concerts with the band monoPunk and presented arranged programs with the SWR Big Band, while 20 Jahre – Die Jubiläumstour revisited songs from across his recording career.
