Marietta is an American emo band formed in Philadelphia in 2011. Their music pairs interlocking guitars and irregular rhythms with raw, shouted vocals. They are known for the albums Summer Death and As It Were, and for songs including “Cinco de Mayo Shit Show” and “God Bless Eric Taylor.” In 2015, Marietta recorded an Audiotree Live session in Chicago. Later that year, the band ended its original run with a farewell performance at Everybody Hits.
