MGMT is an American psychedelic-pop and indie-rock band formed in 2002 by Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser while they were students at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. The album Oracular Spectacular introduced their best-known songs, including “Time to Pretend,” “Electric Feel” and “Kids”; later releases include Congratulations and Little Dark Age. MGMT played Glastonbury Festival in 2008 while touring Oracular Spectacular, then appeared at Coachella in 2010 following the release of Congratulations. In 2018, the group toured theatres and festivals as a full band on the Little Dark Age Tour.
