Misfits are an American punk band formed in Lodi, New Jersey, in 1977 by singer Glenn Danzig. They became known for fast, compact songs built around horror and science-fiction imagery. “Last Caress,” “Halloween” and “Die, Die My Darling,” together with the albums Walk Among Us and Earth A.D./Wolfs Blood, are central to their catalog.

The first Glenn Danzig-led era ended after a 1983 performance at Greystone Hall in Detroit. Jerry Only assembled a new lineup in 1995, and in 2016 he reunited with Danzig and Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein under the Original Misfits billing for Riot Fest concerts in Denver and Chicago, backed by drummer Dave Lombardo. The reunion later reached arenas including Prudential Center in Newark and Madison Square Garden in New York.
