Modest Mouse is an American indie-rock band formed in Issaquah, Washington, in 1993 by Isaac Brock, Jeremiah Green and Eric Judy. Their best-known records include The Lonesome Crowded West, The Moon & Antarctica and Good News for People Who Love Bad News, which contains “Float On” and “Ocean Breathes Salty”; “Dashboard” followed on We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank. Modest Mouse joined R.E.M. for part of the Around the Sun tour in 2004. In 2022, the band toured The Lonesome Crowded West for its 25th anniversary and performed the album in full, then co-headlined North American dates with Pixies in 2023 and returned for another joint run in 2024. The 2024 Good News for People Who Love Bad News anniversary tour again built the set around a complete album performance.
Robber Robber is an American indie-rock and noise-rock quartet formed in Burlington, Vermont, in 2022. Singer-guitarist Nina Cates and drummer Zack James first played together in the Snaz and later recorded as Guy Ferrari before adding guitarist Will Krulak and bassist Carney Hemler. The quartet released its first full-length album, Wild Guess, in 2024; Pitchfork placed it at No. 16 on its Best Rock Albums of 2024 list. Noisy guitars, lurching rhythms and oblique lyrics also shaped the 2026 Fire Talk album Two Wheels Move the Soul.
