About Mong Tong
Mong Tong is a Taiwanese psychedelic duo formed in Taipei in 2017 by brothers Hom Yu and Jiun Chi. They play sample-rich psychedelic rock informed by krautrock, vintage electronics and imagery drawn from local folklore; the albums Mystery and Tao Fire are central works in their catalogue.
A filmed KEXP session documented the brothers performing with bass, guitar, percussion, electronics and sampled sound. In 2024, Mong Tong brought that two-person setup to Glastonbury Festival.
