Mountain Man is an American indie-folk vocal trio formed at Bennington College in Vermont by Amelia Meath, Molly Erin Sarlé and Alexandra Sauser-Monnig. Close three-part harmonies and sparse acoustic arrangements shaped their debut album, Made the Harbor, which includes “Animal Tracks”; they returned after a long recording break with Magic Ship. In 2010, Mountain Man toured with Jónsi, presenting songs through interlocking voices and lightly played guitar. After several years apart, the trio reunited for Eaux Claires in 2017, then carried the renewed live set to Newport Folk Festival in 2018.
