Neal Morse is an American singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, born in Van Nuys, California, in 1960. He co-founded the progressive-rock band Spock’s Beard, later became a member of Transatlantic and built a solo catalogue shaped by his Christian faith. Testimony, One and Sola Scriptura are among his principal solo works.

The 2003 Testimony tour presented the double album with a full band that included drummer Mike Portnoy. Neal Morse subsequently toured other long-form records, including Question Mark, and revisited material from across his career in theatre and festival performances.

Morsefest became his recurring concert event, featuring complete-album performances, guest musicians and sets devoted to his different bands and solo work. He has also performed under his own name on Cruise to the Edge.
