Neurosis in Brooklyn

Neurosis is an American experimental metal band formed in Oakland, California, in 1985. The group began in hardcore punk and became known for the long, heavily layered post-metal of albums such as Souls at Zero, Through Silver in Blood and Times of Grace. In 1997, Neurosis performed on Ozzfest’s second stage during the period around Through Silver in Blood. A decade later, the band documented a Dutch festival performance on Live at Roadburn 2007; in 2016 it returned there for two sets marking its 30th anniversary, after playing two anniversary nights at San Francisco’s Regency Ballroom. Neurosis has also performed in theatre-sized rooms at KOKO in London and the Brooklyn Masonic Temple in New York.
