About New West

New West are a Canadian indie-pop trio formed in Toronto by Kala Wita, Vella and Ben Key. They are known for the piano-led ballad “Those Eyes,” alongside songs including “Call Me When You Hear This Song” and “Next to You.” Their debut album, Based on a True Story..., brought those songs together in a full-length release.

The Based on a True Story Tour took New West into clubs and theatres after the album’s release. They later returned to headline stages across North America and Europe on The Last Thing You Needed Tour.
