Artist
Original Love is a Japanese pop and soul project led by singer-songwriter Takao Tajima. It began as a band and became Tajima’s solo vehicle after the other members left in 1995. The major-label debut album Love! Love! & Love! arrived in 1991, while songs including “Kiss (Seppun),” “The Rover” and “Asahi no Ataru Michi” established its mix of soul, R&B and Japanese pop. The recurring Original Love presents Love Jam began in 2016 at Zepp DiverCity and has featured guests including Suchmos, Yogee New Waves and PUNPEE. Tajima also performs the catalogue in the smaller Original Love Jazz Trio format, which has appeared at Billboard Live Osaka.
