Panopticon is an American atmospheric black metal project founded in Louisville, Kentucky, in 2007 by multi-instrumentalist Austin Lunn. Its music draws on folk and bluegrass as well as black metal, while its lyrics address labor history, politics and the natural world. The albums Kentucky, Roads to the North and Autumn Eternal are central works in its catalogue. Panopticon performed with a full band at Migration Fest in Olympia in 2016, followed by an appearance at Roadburn Festival in Tilburg in 2017. Recordings from both performances were later issued as the live album Live Migration.
