Raly Barrionuevo in Trelew

Raly Barrionuevo is an Argentine folk singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in 1972 in Frías, Santiago del Estero. His music draws on chacarera, zamba and other traditions of northwestern Argentina, and his catalogue includes the albums Circo criollo, Ey paisano and Radio AM, as well as songs such as “Zamba y acuarela” and “Ey paisano.” The Festival Nacional de Folklore de Cosquín became an important stage in his live career when he was named its revelation in 1998. He returned to the festival across subsequent seasons, performing his songs in the peñas and on the main stage at Cosquín.
