About Respire
Respire is a Canadian collective formed in Toronto in 2013, playing orchestral post-rock and screamo shaped by black metal, strings and brass. The group is known for the albums Gravity and Grace, Dénouement and Black Line.
In 2022, Respire performed at Roadburn Festival in Tilburg as a large ensemble, building its arrangements around guitars, drums, strings, brass and multiple voices. The same orchestral format underpinned the group’s appearance at ArcTanGent in Somerset.
