Ricardo Ribeiro is a Portuguese fado singer, born in Lisbon in 1981. Rooted in traditional fado and mentored by singer Fernando Maurício, he is known for albums including Porta do Coração, Largo da Memória and Hoje É Assim, Amanhã Não Sei. Ricardo Ribeiro began performing professionally as a teenager in fado houses including Os Ferreiras and O Faia. He later took the Portuguese-language repertoire of Em Português into concert settings alongside Lebanese oud player Rabih Abou-Khalil.
