Artist
Roger Taylor is a British drummer, singer and songwriter, born in King’s Lynn in 1949. He is best known as a founding member of Queen, where he also wrote and sang material including “Radio Ga Ga,” “A Kind of Magic” and “These Are the Days of Our Lives.” His solo catalogue includes the albums Fun in Space, Strange Frontier and Outsider. The Magic Tour ended at Knebworth Park in 1986, the final Queen concert performed with Freddie Mercury. Taylor later began touring with Brian May and Adam Lambert in 2012, a partnership that led to the Rhapsody Tour in 2019. In 2021, he took the Outsider Tour around the UK and finished the run at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London. Rock in Rio has marked two points in his performance history: Queen appeared there in 1985, and Queen + Adam Lambert returned in 2015.
