About Rotting Christ
Rotting Christ are a Greek black metal band formed in Athens in 1987 around brothers Sakis and Themis Tolis. After early grindcore recordings, the group established its black metal sound on albums including Thy Mighty Contract and Non Serviam, then expanded its dark, melodic approach on Theogonia and Kata Ton Daimona Eaytoy.
In 2015, Rotting Christ crossed North America on the Black Metal Warfare Part II tour with Mayhem and Watain. The band’s festival appearances have also included Germany’s Wacken Open Air and France’s Hellfest.
